The mill produced assorted grades of flour for more than 100 years before milling ceased in 1951, but the machinery was still intact and was operational until a 2003 flood. All of the walnut, oak, and poplar lumber was harvested locally and cut and shaped on site. The mill, which served as a Masonic lodge for many years, is now (2016) the focal point of a large public park where small, crude cabins are still available for rent. | Credit line: Photographs in the Carol M.
