This plant produced a distinctive form of Dr Pepper (the . in Dr. wasn't added until the product was canned), a soda popular throughout the South. The distinction: it used only pure cane sugar, and does to this day in several sodas that it bottles on site. Dr Pepper was first concocted in Waco, Texas, and iintroduced as a fountain drink at the world's fair of 1904 in St. Louis, but it was first bottled at this plant in Dublin.
