Members of the Thomasville Church of God in Thomasville, North Carolina, relax following a visit to the Mast General Store in Valle Crucis, in the mountains of western North Carolina. This is the original Mast store location, now one of nine in the state. Selling many bulk items, country clothing, candy and other confections, and work gear, it remains true to the old-time general store from the 19th century.
