Drawn for the Grand Tour, this is a captivating 1886 large-scale chromolithograph pocket map of Naples (Napoli), Italy by Richter. This brilliant map covers all of Naples and some of the surrounding hills. Topography is rendered with shading and important builidings and monuments and shown in profile. The map is surrounded by 24 inset views of important buildings and business establishments, including important hotels, restaurants, and other business of interest to the traveler. TO the left of the map proper is a guide to the city listing plazas, castles, important streets, monuments, fountains, and more. The right side features advertisements for various business including the Hotel Vittoria.
