Carpenter 129 Clinton Hall, N.Y. | A reissued of Carey's 1818 map of Tennessee. No changes from the earlier edition. No record of this map exists. Carpenter lists his address as 129 Clinton Hall, N.Y. He must have acquired the Carey plate, perhaps from Robert Desilver who reissued the Carey maps as pocket maps in 1827 (see Desilver listings). Folded into original untitled brown and black speckled paper covers 12x7.5.
