Barnes' map business. J.L. Smith was a map publisher in Philadelphia in the 1870-1890 period. He is not listed in Ristow, other than as a publisher of Martinet's Maryland map in its later editions. Folded into brown cloth covers 15.5x10.5 with "Smith's Map of Philadelphia And Vicinity" stamped in gilt.
