Collection: Francisco de Goya

Spanish painter and printmaker Francisco de Goya (1746–1828) served as court artist to the Spanish Crown by day and produced some of the most unsparing political and satirical prints in art history by night. His four great series — Los Caprichos, The Disasters of War, La Tauromaquia, and Los Disparates — anatomize human folly with a darkness and modernity that anticipated the 20th century. This collection presents reproductions drawn from across his etched work.
