Collection: Ernest Haskell

American printmaker Ernest Haskell (1876–1925) was one of the most accomplished etchers of his generation, celebrated for landscapes that ranged from the Maine coast to the giant sequoias of California. He drew with patient precision and a strong feeling for atmosphere — gnarled tree trunks, weathered shoreline rocks, sunlit clearings — and was equally sought after for his portraits of the literary figures of his day. This collection presents reproductions of his most admired plates.
