Watson's New County and Railroad Map of the Pacific States and Territories Published by Gaylord Watson, 16 Beekman Street, N.Y. 1875. | Watson's New Commercial County And Railroad Atlas Of The United States And Dominion Of Canada Compiled From The Latest Official Sources. Published By Perry & Spaulding, No. 147 Court Street, Boston, Mass. | Date estimated. The full color maps are vintage Watson (all dated 1875), taken from his New County and Railroad Map of the United States and the Dominion of Canada and his New County and Railroad Map of the Western States and Territories, except for the two sheet Map of New England which was published as a separate. The text provides much interesting information on shipping, tariff regulations, post offices, statistics, property values, etc. Scarce. Watson also published in 1875 the New commercial county and Railroad Atlas of the United States and Territories and British Provinces, with 28 maps, folio, Phillips 1392. We assume these maps are taken from the same Watson large maps from above, but grouped in smaller configurations. NUC lists an 1877 edition, dated 1878 on the cover.

We print high quality reproductions of historical maps, photographs, prints, etc. Because of their historical nature, some of these images may show signs of wear and tear - small rips, stains, creases, etc. We believe that in many cases this contributes to the historical character of the item.
